The Indiana Dunes

Our charming lakefront cottages are a perfect base from which to explore the Indiana Dunes. We are located on the border of the Indiana Dunes National Park and the Indiana Dunes State Park. Our sandy beach is excellent for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding and the sunsets from the south shore of Lake Michigan are incredible.  The beautiful beach stretches in either direction for miles and within minutes you can get to wonderful nature trails, excellent restaurants, quaint shops and fabulous cultural attractions.

Birding

Indiana Dunes is the perfect place to see more than 350 different bird species that either inhabit or migrate through the Indiana Dunes. The wide variety of habitats - beaches, marshes, forests, wetlands and dunes - make the Indiana Dunes one of the best areas in the Midwest for birding. Although the migrations of spring and fall bring an abundance of birds to the region, every season offers great bird watching opportunities.

Indiana Audubon offers custom and private bird guiding services through the society’s expert members.
